Alrighty, lemme try that again, this time without lost keys, busted guts, a 4-day hospitalization, canceled epic trip, and multiple rounds of antibiotics. Fingers crossed and knocking on all forms of wood…wait, that sounds a littly naughty.
You can see how it turned out last summer by clicking here – despite the unexpected, nearly-disasterous horror show, I actually had some fun.
But with so many downright fabulous things planned for this summer…who has time for the past? It’s time to put on my Big-Girl pants (sadly, bigger than normal lately), hit the road skies, and hope my next adventure involves fewer ER visits.
Zero, zero is the number of ER visits I intend to have this summer.
There’s so much packed into two months that I’m almost worried it will be too much. If you’re wondering what’s on the docket, hold onto your hats, panties, and miscellaneous body parts – cause this ride is gonna be intense!
Part 1:
A crapload of flying broken apart by 2 days in my favorite city – Barcelona. I’d love to see the Picasso museum again and I must visit Park Guell, but I mostly plan to walk around and enjoy not being in an airplane. Then some more flying followed by two weeks in Tanzania with Adventures in Good Company. This will be my third trip with this fabulous, all-women adventure travel company. My first trip with them was an EPIC trek over the Salkantay Pass to visit Machu Picchu. Interested? Here’s the itinerary for that trip.
Part 2:
Off to Zanzibar for a week of island fun. Then, on to Zambia for an 8-day safari with Kafunta Safari and a BIG suitcase of stuff to donate to Project Luangwa.
Part 3:
Really? There’s more??? How could there possibly be more? YES! More is two weeks in Southern Italy. One week at the base of Mt. Vesuvius and one week perched on the edge of a ravine on the Amalfi Coast.
Then it’s home in time for a week or two of rest before school starts back up.
